DANA, the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement is committed to protecting the privacy of its website visitors in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Information may be collected from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication. The information collected may be used in the following ways: to personalize user’s experience and allow us to deliver the type of content and product offerings in which you are most interested, to improve our website to better serve you, to administer a promotion or survey or other site feature, to send periodic emails regarding services or our order.
When you perform any of the following transactions through the DANA website such as: renew or join as a member, update your profile, donate, post a job, register for classes or the conference, or purchase items, you are exiting the DANA website and entering the website of our online membership management system Growthzone.com. The privacy of your information is managed by Growthzone’s privacy policy.
As a member of DANA, we do publish member organization name, contact information and link to your organization’s website. This information is made available on the DANA website through Growthzone, but also may be shared in our annual report, or other material that DANA sponsors. DANA may also share your membership information with partners who provide services to DANA members. Any such sharing is for the sole purpose of providing an agreed upon service in which DANA is sponsoring, and those partners are prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.
DANA does not use or disclose sensitive personal information that informs race, sexual identity, religion, or political affiliation without explicit consent.
How do we protect visitor information?
We do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards. We use regular Malware Scanning. We do not use an SSL certificate. We do not need an SSL because we do not process monetary transactions on this domain, but rather through Growthzone.com

Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising initiative opt out page or permanently using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add on.
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. According to CalOPPA we agree that users can visit our site anonymously. Once this privacy statement is created, we will add a link to it on our home page, or as a minimum on the first significant page after entering our website. Our Privacy statement link includes the word ‘Privacy’, and can be easily be found on the home page. Users will be notified of any privacy statement changes on our privacy statement page. Users are able to change their personal information by emailing us.
We don’t honor do not track signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place. We do not specifically market to children under 13.
The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe. Understanding the Fair Information Practice Principles and how they should be implemented is critical to comply with the various privacy laws that protect personal information.

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.
