The Delaware Contemporary is an art space that infuses contemporary art and creativity into our community through compelling exhibitions, dynamic educational experiences, and access to the artistic process.

Board Meeting Details
Our board meets on the last Monday of the month, ten months a year in the New Castle County (Wilmington) area.
We are a large board with more than ten members and more than three active committees.
Our board has the following committees: Finance/Audit, Fundraising/Development, Board Nominating/Board Governance.
Our committees meet:
Committee meetings are virtual (Zoom)
Finance Committee meets monthly on third Wednesday, usually afternoon.
Governance Committee meets monthly on the third Wednesday, evening.
Development Committee meets quarterly on a schedule.
We elect our board of directors annually in June.
Board Needs
We are especially interested in candidates with the following skills: Human Resources, Project Management, Entrepreneurial Management/ Start-Ups, Communications and PR
Number of board openings: multiple.
We are/ are not seeking to fill a specific officer position. We are open to various skills but priority is HR.
Our board requires an annual financial contribution from members.
Our board asks our members to participate in fundraising by participating in cultivation and fundraising events.
More About Our Organization
TDC has an active and diverse board committed to growing the organization's capacity and visibility in the community. Board members are encouraged to participate in TDC events as well as serve as ambassadors for the organization in the region. There are many ways board members may contribute in non-financial ways through volunteerism and making connections between the organization and new supporters.
