Barnyardgrass is an agronomic issue in rice in south-central states, but its distribution ranges through many US states. In rice, rotating with soybean can help manage barnyardgrass populations by introducing more management options. Effective control during the soybean rotation is important for continued depletion of the population – otherwise the positive effects of rotation are negated.
